Tell Us Your Story
Everyone loves a good story, especially when it's a story of redemption. If you have a personal story about God's work in your life through Leading The Way, we would love to have you share it with us.
The Story of God's Love for You
At Leading The Way, we frequently hear wonderful stories of how God is working around the world. These testimonies are a great source of inspiration and encouragement to us — and, we hope, to you as well. However, there is one story that will always be my favorite. It is a timeless story of love, sacrifice, and forgiveness — a true story that is fresh every morning. It's the story of how Jesus came to earth and died on the cross for you and for me.
The Bible teaches that even the most precious and beautiful babies are born into sin. We all are born with an eternal debt — a debt we never can repay through good works, through a good education, or even through good behavior. In fact, the Bible says that the wages of sin is death (see Romans 6:23).
But thank God that He has provided the way to repay our debt and to save us from eternal death! God sent His own Son, Jesus Christ, to die on a Roman cross to redeem us. Jesus, God's sacrifice of Himself on our behalf, died voluntarily — with love and compassion for you and for me. As the Bible says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16, NKJV).
Just think about it: The only one ever to be born without the debt of sin hanging around His neck was Jesus. And yet, He was the only one qualified to take your place and to pay your debt — and mine. By redeeming us, Jesus paid our debt and canceled our liability. He also set us free from sin's dominion and consequences.
Today you can claim this redemption and forgiveness by committing your life to Jesus Christ. Repenting and accepting Christ's generous sacrifice is the only way to escape from the wrath of God and to spend eternity with Him in heaven. Come to Him in repentance and faith today.
